My name is Michael Douglas and I am the owner of Douglas Lawn Care. This is a picture of my family. My wife is a Registered Nurse. We have four children Addison, Noah, Elijah and Lillian. My family is one of the reasons I decided to build this business. I want to show them with hard work and will power you can do anything you put your mind to.

Before owning my business I worked as Reprocessing Technician at Bronson Methodist Hospital. While my seven plus years doing that, I started mowing part time for family and  friends. As time went on I started getting extremely busy mowing as more and more people wanted my services. In 2017 I hit a point in the business that I either needed to stop taking on more accounts or I needed to take the business to the next level and do lawn care full time. Now Douglas Lawn Care is a full time lawn service and we are not looking back! 

I have lived in the Grand Junction, Bloomingdale area my whole life. I grew up in Bloomingdale on our family farm. Growing up we grew Christmas trees and I gained a lot of experience working in the customer service field. Now on the farm we are growing blueberries. I still will help out occasionally when needed.

I have also coached Junior Varsity Baseball for Bloomingdale public schools. I still would love to do this but right now I need to focus most of my attention in growing my business.

I have also attended Kalamazoo Vally Community College. Most of my time at KVCC was spent taking small business classes and marketing classes. I always knew I wanted to own a business growing up and when the opportunity presented itself I took it.

I wanted to show you a little bit about myself and my family to explain why I created my business. Owning my lawn care business is not just a job. It is a career and I love running it!
